The app
New versions arrive through the App Store and Google Play.
Version 1.5 8 October 2026
On its way: version 1.5.3 was sent to the App Store and Google Play on 8 October, and each store releases it once its review is done.
- Your avatar: make an archer of your own, and see your clubmates' avatars beside their names.
- Feathers: earn them as you shoot, and spend them on bows, quivers, hats, tops, companions and pins.
- Avatar battles: take on the campaign's characters, then your clubmates, a friend with a code, or any archer who has switched on open battles.
- Twelve signature shots, one for each of your avatar's first twelve levels.
- For clubs: avatar ladders, knockouts and leagues of battles, club against club, and a club top in your club's colours.
- Kit won from a campaign boss or a badge has an effect of its own on your avatar.
- Witness a clubmate's score on a leaderboard.
- TargetAce Rankings.
- Shot replay: watch your shot back a few seconds after you loose. Nothing is saved.
- Tablet layouts on every screen, with a side panel in the scorer.

- A notification when your event’s target list is published, and when an organiser starts a round.
- Lots of smaller fixes.
Version 1.4 6 October 2026
- Sign in with Apple or Google: keep your TargetAce account on any phone, and use the same account on targetace.app.
- Your phones: see the phones signed in to your account and remove one you've lost; signing in on a new phone never signs out the others.
- A recovery code in Profile, in case you lose your phone.
- Find a club: clubs near you that welcome new archers, with their beginners' courses and come and try sessions.
- Club grounds on a map, and in Locations when you score.
- Club memberships: see how long your membership runs, and pay it on targetace.app when it's due.
- Organisers can hand their club over to another member and step down.
- The scorer works with VoiceOver and TalkBack, with every arrow and end total read out.
- Clearer text everywhere, bigger text that doesn't clip, easier-to-read colours, and plain messages when something goes wrong.
- The same score colours on every screen, from the scorer to PvP and your round history.
- Campaign difficulty: choose Beginner, Club, Expert or Adaptive for each campaign.
- An update reminder when a newer TargetAce is ready.
- Lots of smaller fixes.

- TargetAce Pro, a new optional subscription: sync across phones, cloud backup and round summaries (experimental).

- Scoring: sighters before the first end, a walk-up reminder with your sight mark, the right face at each distance, line cutters, notes and photos on each end, and optional numbered arrows.
- Compound: WA 1440 and WA 720 (50m) compound rounds on the 80cm 6-ring face, and triple-spot faces.

10 October 2026
- Club awards for Club Plus clubs: set up your club's own badges, such as the 252 or Portsmouth badges, in the Organiser Console. TargetAce checks the scores members send in and lists who has earned what, with a clubmate's witness or an organiser's confirmation if you want one.
- Four more guides with pictures, each with a PDF: leaderboards, ladders, knockouts and leagues, and beginners' courses and come and try sessions. They are on their pages in the Organiser Console and in Help. They are in English.
- A guide to running an event, with pictures of every step from setting up to the results: on the Events page of the Organiser Console and in Help, with a PDF to download. It is in English.
- Clubs in the euro area can now take entry fees for events in euros, paid into the club's own Stripe account. Set it up in the Organiser Console, under Club settings.
- Organiser Console: a strip at the top of the console and of your account page takes you between your own profile and each club you organise.
- Organiser Console: the menu is in groups. Leaderboards, ladders, knockouts and leagues are for your club's members; events are apart, and can be open to people outside the club.
- Leaderboards can have a start date: members see the leaderboard straight away and can shoot it from that day.
- Knockouts and leagues can have a start date: entries close and the fixtures are made by themselves that day. You can also choose how long each round has, and the console says how the draw and the fixtures are made.
- Events: the places are worked out from the targets and the archers on each target, as they already were for events by shoot type. Only a course has its places typed in.
- Organiser Console: your club's own website address is now on the Club website page, and the course bookings agreement is on the Events page.
9 October 2026
- Ladders: your phone tells you when you are challenged, when your challenge is answered, and when your match has been started.
- A ladder or knockout match can no longer be claimed as a win against an archer who never joined it. It is called off after an hour and can be started again.
- Organiser Console: on a ladder's page you can move an archer to another place, remove one, and let in or decline archers asking to join.
- Ladders can have a start date and an end date, set in the Organiser Console: archers join before the start and challenge from that day, and the ladder closes by itself the day after it ends.
- A changed bow type now shows on your ladder places, and recurve bows are named properly in the Organiser Console and on club websites.
